2020 UPDATE:

Recently, we received notification of a data breach that occurred with Blackbaud, the external vendor that provides the donation processing software used by non-profits throughout the world, including Cure Alzheimer’s Fund. The breach occurred in May of 2020, and Blackbaud notified their non-profit clients at the end of July.

The incident that resulted in this unauthorized access did not include any of our current data; it pulled an outdated file from prior to 2018, and the records did not include any credit card or other financial information. Please be assured that we do not store any credit card or other financial information from our donors.

Blackbaud is taking measures to prevent future breaches. They have identified the vulnerability in their systems and have taken steps to secure their environment. Blackbaud has also created a webpage to provide information regarding the breach, and you can access that page by going to blackbaud.com/securityincident.

Please be assured that we do everything we can to preserve your privacy and the integrity of the data you supply to us and our third-party vendors.

MAILING LIST

Cure Alzheimer’s Fund provides a separate online form to join our mailing list. The information we collect includes name, address, email address, and telephone number. This information is securely stored and accessed only when we correspond with our mailing list periodically during the year, either via e-mail or regular mail.

Please contact us directly by regular mail or email if at any time you wish to be removed from the mailing list, or if you would like to correct or change the personal information you have previously provided.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

In the event that Cure Alzheimer’s Fund decides to alter its privacy policy, the changes will be added directly to this statement. We will, however, always use information in accordance with the version of the privacy policy under which it was originally collected.
