Research Associate Professor, The Rockefeller University
Understanding the abnormal molecular characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease is the focus of Erin Norris’s research. Her work is twofold: Firstly, she explores how blood pressure in midlife aggravates Alzheimer’s disease pathology by causing neuroinflammation and harming the blood-brain barrier. Secondly, Dr. Norris is investigating the role of the plasma contact system, and how its overactivation can lead to blood clotting and inflammation.
