Lucía Chávez-Gutiérrez is interested in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease pathogenicity. Her research is based on the premise that a better mechanistic understanding of the function of the molecules involved in familial Alzheimer’s disease will provide critical insights into the basic underpinnings of the disease, and open new research that leads to innovative, safe strategies to tackle the disease for patients.
